I think the word “blog” is tired and unoriginal. It carries a stigma associated with a yawn and pity; everyone (and their brother) has a blog these days. This is not a jejune tale of my personal life. You don’t care what I had for breakfast (an everything bagel), or want to hear about how awesome my dog is (he’s cute). And quite frankly, I’ve got better things to do than live that out on the web.

What this site is really about sharing creative inspiration, photography, and design. Mainly, I use this site as a companion to my main portfolio site to post my newest photography work. The portfolio side is rather static and non-interactive, but carries some of my best work. The blog side is fresh and recent work, but not always my best. The blog is more for the fun of sharing and interacting with folks who like my work.

About me you say? I’m a 20-something self-employed creative living near Fort Collins, CO. I have been self-employed for over nine years with jmvdigital, inc. I’ve been able to experience almost every facet of the fine art, design, and corporate world. I feel lucky with where I’m at, what I’ve learned, and the talent that I have.
