This is a new series that I am really excited about. Adrian Davis helped me out with the title, and it stuck: Industrial Observations Within the Western Landscape. I am experimenting with new processing techniques and mood. Let me know what you think.

Really nice pictures. I like the windmill one the best- the clouds, and the tire marks add a great effect.
I really like the process you are using here, Justin. Very nice. My favorites are the top two.
The processing itself has an industrial feel that supports the name of the series, I’m reminded of a surface bleeding with oil or maybe steel with a special patina on it. I love the hint of blue in the saturation — it gives it that metallic feel, evoking feelings of starkness and isolation that can come through in black and white. What I think I love best, though, is the lustrous, luminscent quality that “shines” through the clouds and on the earth itself. It comes through as a commentary on nature’s beauty being overrun or, depending on your politics, at least interrupted by industrial and civilized advancements.
It’s wonderful to watch your new explorations and perspectives!
