I shot these in January one frosty morning, down the street from my house, literally. There is farm land that butts up against the backyards of some of the houses at the end of my street. I happened to stumble back there when I was out photographing the neat rime frost that had coated a lot of the vegetation and things. I shot these with my Mamiya 150mm, handheld. I got inspired to mess around in black and white last night and decided to push these shots into a moodier realm. Without the blueish tint I gave to some other images from this shoot, it’s difficult to see they are frosted unless the image is presented larger. As much as I love black and white photography, I almost always play in color.
