Filmmaker Andrew Zuckerman has a new book out called Creature, which features hi-res shots of studio-lit animals big and small. They aren’t earth shattering, and the “hi-res” claim is disputed since the print medium is only a coffee table book (resolution of print materials is limited by the size dots of ink from the printers, meaning the book would need to be feet-big instead of inches-big to display their full hi-res glory; at this size, the image capture resolution is largely irrelevant), however, the images are still chock full of neat detail, texture, and coloring that is rarely seen in animal portraits.
