handmade frames.

After a lot of setup, money, and research, I am finally getting down to making custom wood frames for my photography. Ideally, I’ll be using weathered and worn barn wood, but I also like the look of new rough sawn exotic lumbers as well. I supposed it depends on the customer and the photo being framed. The frame shown below is my first one out. I will build a rabbit sub-frame behind it to support the glass and art. This will also give the frame a bit of a floating appearance as the main face will sit off the wall somewhat.

Barn wood frame.

I will be experimenting will all sorts of woods, joints, and styles in the future. As always, don’t hesitate to drop me a line if you’d like to find out more about purchasing my prints or frames.

Maybe you should give the good ole boy from Oklahoma a little friendly competition.
