This won’t interest many of you, but I’m posting it anyway because it’s amazing. Ryan Leech has released his latest trials riding video, Manifesto. His goal was to take trials riding style further: “eliminate all setup and recovery hops from trials riding.” Setup and recovery hops are those couple of in-place hops you see riders do before and after big maneuvers to give themselves time to strategize for the next move and regain balance. He did away with that technique, leaving flowing moves or nothing. I’m making it my goal to learn trials this summer. Of course, neither of my current bikes are setup for this type of riding. Hmm.
PS: If you have an appreciation for just how difficult this stuff is, make sure you catch the train track scenes.

PPS: I realize now that this video above is the entire DVD. It’s only 21 minutes total. Glad I didn’t order it. :)
