cruiser mania.

Boney Finger & Wasabi.

This Memorial Day weekend, Jess and I treated ourselves to a couple of pimp cruiser bikes. I got an Electra Boney Finger with fat 3.0″ slick tires, lots of orange, and hotrod-esque styling. Jess got a Trek Wasabi with retro styling, fancy fenders, and a cool embroidered leather seat. Both are 3-speeds with nifty internally geared hubs and a coaster brake (i.e., you apply backward pressure on your pedals to stop). We’ve been out touring the town the last few days, even at night with our little LED headlights. Let the good times roll!

If you’re in the market for a new bike with a bit of style, I totally recommend taking a look at Electra. They have dozens of rad designs. Lee’s and REI sell them here in Fort Collins. We saw a neat Schwinn cruiser in town the other night too.

Wow! You guys are the coolest kids in school. Those bikes are awesome! I especially love the embroidery on the seats. I’m always impressed with your style. =)

I just picked up my Boney Finger on Monday and I love it. I’ve also got the old school silver LED headlight mounted just above the front tire on the fork, and I plan on putting apehanger handlebars on it in a month or so.

Last Christmas, I got my wife a Nirve Hello Kitty HK 4 Ever, and the two make quite a pair!
