This is a first for me to be posting design work of my own on this site. I’m particularly proud of the booth (above) I designed and wanted to share it.
The Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) exhibition is the biggest event of the year for my client, Integro Insurance Brokers. Last year, the event was held in Honolulu; this year’s is being held down in New Orleans. Last year I only provided the graphics that were used on the booth. This year, I was give the opportunity to design the booth from the ground up. Bigger, better, and significantly more on point than the previous year. The image above is a mock rendering by Integro’s build vendor. The booth is 20′x50′, and features a 61″ plasma screen (where the beach scene is in the mock), 12′ tall curved pillars that support the green halos above, light diffusing/dimming mesh that covers the tops of the halos, and a private meeting space on the backside (not shown) enclosed in 6′ tall frosted plexi. Karel, of 2octave, is creating a hip ambient audio track that will pumped throughout the booth as an ambient background. All around, the booth will provide a nice intimate, and unique environment; hopefully standing out significantly from competitor’s offerings at RIMS.
These advertisements (below) will run in a RIMS publication distributed on each day of the 3-day event. The series highlights client’s testimonials of Integro, with less of an emphasis on the abstract imagery and more on the copy itself. Below the ads is a tri-fold invitation I created that invites clients and prospectives to a cocktail event and casts a light on the booth itself. The pearlized and textured paper that I used to print the invite on added a distinctive finishing touch.

Awesome! That’s really amazing! Are you going to get to help build it too, or at least see it in person? So cool. =)

Thanks! It’s been a lot of fun working on something like this. No, I don’t get to build it, but Karel and I are flying to New Orleans at the end of April for the conference. So I’ll get to see it in person!
I would be remiss if I didn’t give credit to Alexa for helping with the concepting of the project on a whole, and working on a lot of the associated copy.
